This bridge is a small through girder swing bridge over Duck Creek near where I-41/US-141 and I-43 meet in Howard.
Built in 1903, the bridge sits on masonry substructures, including a round center pier which still has full gears to operate.
However, it is highly doubted the bridge could actually operate in its current state, and there would be little need for it to.
Today, the bridge is a popular fishing spot and a landmark of sorts. Overall, the bridge remains in good condition with some deterioration.
The author has ranked this bridge as being moderately significant, due to the swing design.
